The Social Services department works hard to provide services to low-income frail elders and younger disabled adults, so that they are able to remain safe and independent in permanent housing.

On a volunteer basis, the Senior Center conducts health screenings for diabetes, hypertension, and foot care.

The population served reside in housing owned or managed by the Pike Market Preservation and Development Authority (Stewart House, Market House/1st Pine, Livinginston-Baker, Sanitary Market and LaSalle); the Sisters of Providence building; and The Vincent House.

The program also provides resource information and assistance to Senior Center members and surrounding Market community.

Case management services are also provided to residents in the buildings listed above, and to members of the Pike Market Senior Center.
